Nucleus (Nuc.) with 2022 Queen - Deposit

We have for sale Nucs. with 2022 marked Queen (Queen can be clipped at request).  This is a deposit with the balance to be paid on collection of the bees from our premises on a pre-agreed date and time or prior to shipping.  Total cost is £200.

These are provided on 6-frame national format and will come in a a ventilated correx transport box. The Nucs. are not sold until they are strong, covering all seams of bees containing brood at all stages. The Nucs. contain locally adapted bees meaning the Queens mate naturally on the wing with local drones. Locally adapted means they may not be ‘dark bees’ in that thy have a bit more yellow or ginger colour, reflecting our local diversity. The Queens have been selected and bred with temperament and productivity in mind. 

We strongly recommend that you only purchase a Nucleus colony if you are prepared to register your bees on BeeBase.  Importantly, you confirm have the support/mentorship of an experienced beekeeper or you are a member of your local beekeeping association where you can access ongoing education and training.
